The Weekend Warrior Challenge

March 5th, 2010 by Chad Leave a reply »

TGIF!!!  It’s been a heckuva long week, and I’m so glad to see my old friend, the weekend, again.  Brandon, over at So Long, Fat Ass!, has posed a Weekend Warrior Challenge this weekend, recognizing that lots of us have some trouble sticking to our health and fitness goals over the weekend as well as we do during the week.  I think the biggest thing I struggle with on weekends is sticking to my food schedule.  Without work, it’s tempting sometimes to sneak an extra snack.  So here’s what I’m planning to do to stay on track this weekend:

1)  FOOD – Stick to my typical weekday meal schedule – Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, Dinner, After-Dinner Treat – no more, no  less.

2)  EXERCISE – Do some sort of cardio on both Saturday and Sunday, burning at least 325 calories each session.

So that’s what I’ll be up to this weekend, in addition to having some fun with friends!  Have a great weekend!

Moving the weekday diet to the weekend is the big challenge. Looking forward to hearing the results.

  4. Good luck with the challenge … keep us posted monday how it goes. I know the food can be challenging but you can do it!
